Senior Care Professionals: Thanks For All That You Give

November 23, 2017 | Mark Woodka

thankful for senior careIt’s that time of year again; time to sit down, reflect on what’s transpired over the course of the year and take time to appreciate all that we have.

I’m mindful that these posts start to sound the same, but I think that’s okay. In fact, I’m thankful that they sound the same each year. It means that I have a constant stream of goodness in my life. So, this year, like in years past, I have so much to be thankful for as I sit down to turkey dinner.

First and foremost—and as always—I’m thankful for this wonderful industry that I am a part of. The folks in the senior care industry are so selflessly dedicated to caring for the aging population. And a special thanks to the caregivers at the bedside, who go above and beyond to make residents comfortable and happy at all times. I see it every day with the exceptional care that my mother receives, and I often hear inspirational stories from others who witness it first-hand.

Along those lines, I am extremely grateful that there were no further cuts to Medicaid funding, as they would have greatly impacted our ability to provide quality care for the nation’s seniors.

And finally, I’m thankful for my wonderful team here at OnShift. We’ve made great strides this year and I’m very proud. We successfully released two new products aimed at improving the lives of employees and have continued to grow in our understanding of and dedication to solving workforce issues in senior care. Thank you for a great year, guys!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving – filled with good food, good people and thanks that keep on giving.
