What will you do differently in 2012 than you did in 2011? I'm thinking about this question for myself, both professionally and personally, and wanted to pose the question to all of you in long-term care and senior living.
There have been so many changes in the past year in the industry. Is this just a glimpse of what's to come in 2012? With more change lingering in the future, what are you planning to do differently?
In thinking about the future, I played a little game and you might want to try it, too. In the next 60 seconds, what words, phrases, ideas, come to mind when you think of 2012? I've got my work hat on, and here's what I'm thinking: technology, efficiency, rapid change, helping people, achieving goals, cost savings, busy, aging population, big picture thinking, automation, opportunity. Ok, so my list is a wee bit random, but it was a good start to putting some serious thought behind my 2012 and what it means to me. Give it a try and see what you come up with. Truly consider what you will do differently this year. What does your future hold?
Good luck and best wishes to each and every one of you in the new year!
