Happy National Nursing Assistants Week to all the nursing assistants who are dedicated to providing amazing care to seniors each and every day. It takes a special kind of person to do the job you do, and I think most long-term care organizations would agree that they couldn’t provide the best care possible without each and every one of you.
This year’s theme for National Nursing Assistants Week is “Specialists in the Art of Caring”—and I don’t think any other theme could truly describe the role of a nursing assistant quite so well, as being a nursing assistant requires not just providing care, but showing care.
As rewarding as the job of a nursing assistant can be, we know it’s not without its challenges. That’s why all of us at OnShift just wanted to take a moment to wish each nursing assistant a happy National Nursing Assistants’ Week! And to celebrate, OnShift caught up with some nursing assistants to find out why they love what they do. Watch below!
