Celebrating & Looking To The Future During #NSNCW

May 10, 2021 | Peter Corless

Celebrating & Looking To The Future During #NSNCWAlthough I have celebrated National Skilled Nursing Care Week many times before, this year feels a bit different…in a good way. There’s an air of optimism. The clouds have begun to lift and brighter times are ahead – which makes this year’s theme, Together Through the Seasons, quite timely. You have all weathered the storm and shown what you are truly capable of when you work together. AHCA says this theme is meant to commemorate staff and communities’ unwavering commitment to providing quality care and ensuring the safety of residents in spite of the immense challenges brought on by the pandemic.

Use this week to celebrate your team’s collective efforts over the past year and welcome the next chapter. “With each new season come new beginnings, new strategies, and new information. Together, we will get through this, and together we will begin to heal,” AHCA says.

The team at OnShift thanks you and your team for taking such excellent care of your residents throughout the pandemic. I know I can safely speak for all of us when I say that witnessing your resiliency, ingenuity and sheer heroism was a constant reminder of why we do what we do - and what a privilege it is to work so closely with many of you.

If you have not finalized your planning yet, check out AHCA’s list of suggested activities and be sure to share the fun you have for all the world to see on social media using #NSNCW. I know I love to see all of the innovative things you all do around your communities during this annual celebration.

Have a wonderful week and cheers to what’s ahead!
