Many organizations are racing to adapt to managing this new workforce, which recently became the largest in the workplace. It’s also due to become the largest generation by head count in the world.
To manage millennials, employers are having to learn new practices around giving them not what the previous generations wanted, but what this new workforce behemoth says is most important. According to findings from The Deloitte Millennial Survey 2016,
“The more diversity of opportunities, new challenges and leadership training you provide, the more likely it is that you’ll be able to retain some of these folks,” says Aaron Smith, President of YI Advisors, a consulting firm that works with clients to engage young people.
