One of our focus areas at Argentum is continuing to work toward professionalizing the senior living industry; the initiative aims to help our members build and retain a skilled, knowledgeable workforce.
In line with that goal, we are happy to have recently launched our next professional development opportunity—the Argentum Senior Living Sales Counselor Certificate Program. The concept for the program was born from an Argentum sales and marketing roundtable discussion. During roundtable meetings, experienced professionals discuss their most pressing senior living workforce challenges and are encouraged to present those issues for group comment and possible resolution. Sales and marketing roundtable members shared the need for a more efficient and effective method for bringing new sales hires up to speed on industry intricacies.
The certificate program curriculum focuses on topics related to industry knowledge, marketing strategy, and the consultative sales process. Participants will take away a complete understanding of the different levels of senior living and be able to speak intelligently with prospective residents about the options that may fit their needs and preferences. We know many consumers and other external audiences look to third-party credentials for validation, so we hope this certificate program provides a valuable complement to internal training programs already in place.
More than two dozen provider companies and over 60 sales professionals have already signed up for the first testing window; registration will remain open through December 21. We encourage provider companies to share this opportunity with their sales teams.
