MatrixCare Directions: Let the Good Times Roll

MatrixCare really nailed it when they picked the tagline for their recent user’s conference, Directions, in New Orleans last week. “Let the Good Times Roll” is a great way to describe an event that left me with only one thing I’d change – I wish I could’ve stayed longer!

If you were in NOLA for the conference, then you know exactly what I’m talking about. The event was packed with informative sessions, productive meetings, and lots of face-to-face networking. MatrixCare rolled out the red carpet for all of us, complete with an authentic New Orleans parade.  MatrixCare truly values their customers, partners, and others they do business with, and this was evident throughout the entire event.

As a strategic partner of MatrixCare, I had the opportunity to present a session on staffing best practices. Matt Hails, Director of Healthcare and Quality Assurance from RFMS Inc., who is a user of both OnShift and MatrixCare, joined me in the interactive discussion on staffing and labor management. Matt shared his practices and experiences in all-things staffing, including how RFMS uses the new OnShift-MatrixCare integration to support their acuity-based staffing efforts.  David Sims, Connections Associate Product Manager with MatrixCare, rounded out our presentation with the MatrixCare perspective and insight into our jointly integrated products.

One of the highlights of the event for me occurred on the exposition floor.  I’d like to give a huge shout-out to Altercare Vice President Dan Leamon who stopped by the OnShift booth and talked with other providers about how Altercare uses OnShift. Dan even snuck behind the desk and demo’d our software to a potential client. Dan rocks! An equally bright moment occurred in the evening, when I stepped outside and was greeted by MatrixCare colors streaming from the Superdome. Seriously, the Superdome got a MatrixCare makeover for the few days we were all in town. Talk about big time!

I’d like to give a huge thank you to everyone at MatrixCare for putting on such a fantastic event. I’m looking forward to joining you all in Dallas for Directions 2015.
